Example projects
Headed up the Communications and stakeholder management work stream for the creation of the new Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR), which became operational in 2007.
Working closely with Ministers and senior officials my role involved developing messages, stakeholder management and advice on communications issues for the incoming Chair and Commissioners of the new CEHR
I was also heavily involved in the change management programme for the merger of three existing equality bodies and the involvement of new strands.
Handled the communications and change management aspects of a major acquisition by Credit Suisse in the UK. The project included working with staff of 150 to create a new structure, liaising with trade unions, dealing with media enquiries, providing ongoing communication for senior managers to present at all staff meetings. The project was great success and the acquisition delivered excellent value for Credit Suisse.
Worked with Jarmans, a firm of solicitors in Kent. This fast growing company needed support to manage an impressive expansion programme. My role, as part of the senior management team, was to be a trouble shooter and forward planner for the company. Projects I organised included: implementing a new case management system; setting up departmental business units and overseeing business plans and financial targets; supporting the senior partner on all aspects of the business and helping to drive forward the long term plan.
