The mobility company Avanza, a subsidiary of the Mexican multinational Mobility Ado, has completed the purchase of the coach company Julián de Castro, an operator founded in 1913 that manages bus routes in the northwest of the Community of Madrid. This transaction is still pending approval by the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC).
AGM Abogados guided the Julián de Castro group in the sale of two of its three companies: Autocares Julián de Castro and Autocares Casanz. About the Julián de Castro GroupFounded by Marcos de Castro in 1913, this family-run business based in Madrid, managed by the Castro Sanz family, employs 270 people, and operates a fleet of 138 buses that transport 8 million passengers annually. The company operates two lines of business: regular routes and occasional services, under the brands Autocares Julián de Castro and Autocares Casanz, respectively, primarily serving 11 municipalities along the A-6 axis in Madrid.
